In early 19th century Bristol, a captivating young woman speaking an unfamiliar language faces charges of begging. Her fate changes when a man asserts he can translate her speech, declaring her a princess from a distant realm. Eager to boost their social standing, a family of snobbish aristocrats takes her in. However, a skeptical local reporter doubts her royal identity and begins to dig deeper. As he uncovers the truth, the question remains: is Caraboo truly the princess she claims to be, or is this a tale woven from deception?
