Two Years at Sea

Drawing inspiration from Knut Hamsun’s ‘Pan’, Ben Rivers immerses himself in the secluded forests of Aberdeenshire to chronicle the solitary life of Jake Williams. Over the course of the seasons, viewers witness Jake’s unconventional existence as he embraces reclusion, sustains himself with minimal resources, and engages in peculiar endeavors. Rivers skillfully captures the essence of solitude and the beauty of nature, offering a contemplative glimpse into a man who has chosen a life apart from society.
