An aging magician hatches a cunning scheme to preserve his beloved piece of old New York by tapping into real black magic. "Black Magic for White Boys," directed by Onur Tukel, fuses harsh truths with whimsical illusions in this quirky comic adventure exploring gentrification, race, and bodily autonomy. Featuring over 50 minutes of new footage, Tukel has transformed his 2017 Tribeca four-part series into an eccentric dark comedy. With a blend of sharp cynicism and unexpected charm, the film serves as a poignant, low-budget commentary on the evolving landscape of New York City.
