The quest for extraterrestrial life is underway! After a stellar career in cosmology, Professor Martin Rees, the astronomer royal, has embarked on the search for aliens. No longer merely a concept of science fiction, the pursuit of extraterrestrial existence now captivates some of the brightest scientific minds. As our understanding of the cosmos expands, we are inching closer to potential answers. Many researchers speculate that our galaxy may host a billion Earth-like planets, perhaps brimming with life. But what forms might that life take? Could there be beings capable of communication? This film delves into the thoughts of those grappling with this thrilling and profound inquiry: are we truly alone in the universe? Professor Rees challenges traditional notions, suggesting that instead of organic beings, we should be on the lookout for machines.
