Taming the Garden

Georgia's former prime minister has developed an unusual passion for collecting century-old trees, some towering up to 15 stories high. His ambition leads him to uproot these majestic trees from local communities along the Georgian coast, despite the significant costs and disruptions involved. Each tree, a symbol of heritage and history, is carefully transported to his expansive private garden, raising ethical questions about ownership and environmental impact. This striking documentary explores the lengths one man will go to fulfill his obsession and the consequences for the communities left behind.
