Through a blend of archival footage from the tumultuous 1968 era and contemporary interviews with youth, *Our Defeats* explores the evolving dynamics of political engagement. The film juxtaposes iconic scenes from the past with the reflections of today’s generation, igniting a dialogue about their capacity to face modern chaos. As the young interviewees reenact moments from these classic films, the narrative questions whether they possess the strength to challenge current societal upheavals or if they are merely echoes of a bygone era grappling with lingering issues.
