The 1970s Brazilian music scene thrived on "festivals," where artists competed in live shows that could launch their careers, with stars like Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Roberto Carlos, and Gilberto Gil rising to fame. However, the experience could be daunting, as audiences were quick to voice their opinions, both positive and negative. "A Night in 67" utilizes rich archival footage, including electrifying performances and candid behind-the-scenes interviews from the final night of the Festival of Brazilian Popular Music 1967, capturing the vibrant evolution of Brazilian music and the societal shifts challenging military rule.
