Hukkle

Set in a quaint Hungarian village, Hukkle unfolds with minimal dialogue, immersing viewers in the lives of its eclectic inhabitants, including a hiccuping elderly man, a shepherdess with her flock, and a possibly nefarious old woman. The narrative weaves through various vignettes, showcasing rural traditions and festivities, such as a lively wedding with folk singers. Beneath the surface charm, a dark and subtle subplot of murder simmers, adding an unsettling tension to the otherwise serene community dynamics. The film masterfully balances light-hearted moments with a creeping sense of dread.
