In the 1970s, attorney Tom Spader is driven to challenge racial injustices, coining the phrase "the colored man's losing streak." After winning a high-profile case that brings him significant attention, he relocates his wife and two children from their diverse, lower-middle-class neighborhood to the affluent community of Greenwich, Connecticut.
