Set in 1981 South Africa, a young recruit grapples with the harsh realities of mandatory military service, a period marked by systemic racism and brutality. As he navigates the challenges of training and combat, he faces an even greater struggle: concealing his homosexuality in an environment that vehemently rejects any deviation from the norm. The oppressive atmosphere of the military forces him to confront his identity and the societal expectations surrounding him, leading to a poignant exploration of love, fear, and the quest for authenticity amidst a backdrop of intolerance.
