Hundreds of refugee children in Sweden, traumatized by their harrowing experiences, fall victim to a mysterious condition known as Resignation Syndrome, or 'uppgivenhetssyndrom.' As their families confront the looming threat of deportation, these young individuals retreat from reality, slipping into a coma-like state that can last for months or even years. The film poignantly explores the deep psychological impact of displacement and the struggle for survival amid overwhelming despair, highlighting the urgent need for understanding and compassion in the face of such profound suffering.
