Set against the backdrop of a contemporary office, this adaptation of Herman Melville's "Bartleby, the Scrivener" explores the life of a dispassionate clerk who gradually disengages from his work and the world around him. As Bartleby’s refusal to conform to the demands of his job escalates, his colleagues grapple with their own reactions to his passive resistance. This modern retelling captures the essence of alienation and the struggle for individuality in a corporate environment, providing a thought-provoking commentary on the nature of work and personal autonomy.
