Set against the backdrop of 1950s and 60s Bucharest, a striking tale unfolds where political prisoners bring new life into the world within the serene walls of a stunning monastery, which would eventually become Văcărești Prison. Fast forward to the present, and the remnants of this history are now enveloped by lush vegetation, creating a thriving ecosystem that spans several hectares. This once somber site has transformed into a protected natural park, sheltering diverse species of plants and animals, reflecting a poignant blend of beauty and resilience amidst its dark past.
