A failed attempt at stealing a purse leads a young boy to reevaluate his choices and future. Billy Woodberry's second film, notable for being his first shot in 16mm, draws inspiration from Langston Hughes' short story, "Thank You, Ma’am." The narrative explores themes of redemption and self-discovery, enhanced by a captivating soundtrack featuring the works of Leadbelly, Thelonious Monk, and Miles Davis. This poignant tale invites audiences to reflect on the impact of unexpected encounters and the lessons learned from moments of desperation.
