The Conscientious Objector

Set against the harrowing backdrop of World War II in 1945, the gripping story unfolds on Okinawa’s daunting Hacksaw Ridge. Medic Pfc. Desmond T. Doss, a devout conscientious objector, defies the odds during a brutal battle where survival rates plummet to one in ten. Amidst relentless gunfire, he courageously rescues 75 injured soldiers, earning the respect of those who once mocked his beliefs. Through the eyes of his fellow infantrymen, director Terry Benedict captures Doss's extraordinary journey, culminating in his recommendation for the Medal of Honor—the highest accolade for bravery in the face of adversity.
