Wataru Hirayama, a seemingly progressive father, faces a dilemma when his daughter announces her love for a colleague and expresses her desire to pursue her own path rather than succumb to an arranged marriage. His liberal ideals clash with traditional expectations as he grapples with her determination. Surrounded by strong-willed female relatives, Hirayama finds himself outmaneuvered at every turn, yet he clings to his principles, unwilling to concede defeat. The tension between generational values and personal freedom unfolds, challenging the notions of love, autonomy, and family loyalty.
