Un Chien Andalou, a landmark in avant-garde cinema, showcases the surreal collaboration of director Luis Buñuel and artist Salvador Dalí. This 1929 film eschews traditional narrative, instead crafting a dreamlike tapestry of bizarre and unsettling imagery. Through disjointed scenes, including the infamous eye-slicing moment, the film provokes thought and challenges perceptions of reality. Its revolutionary approach to storytelling and visual symbolism has cemented its status as a foundational work in surrealism, influencing countless filmmakers and artists in the decades that followed.
