Manager Marletti heads to the seaside to spend a weekend with his wife, Giuliana, and a lively group of friends. Their time together is filled with merriment and chaos, but after three days, Marletti returns to Rome. Driving back, he relishes the thought of solitude, longing for a peaceful night where he can indulge in silence and enjoy his own company. The contrast between the vibrant weekend and his desire for tranquility highlights the complexities of his life and relationships.
