On a remote Pacific island north of Australia, a POW camp run by the Japanese Empire has harbored unspeakable horrors during World War II. As Australian soldiers are liberated, they recount chilling tales of mass executions and brutal killings of airmen. Seeking accountability, the Australian Army sets up a War Crimes Tribunal to prosecute those responsible for the atrocities at Ambon. Complications arise when a high-ranking Japanese admiral is implicated, leading to political tensions as American officials advocate for his release, intertwining justice with international diplomacy.
