The Scribe

A comedic short from the Construction Safety Association of Ontario, this film highlights essential safety practices on construction sites. Serving as a poignant farewell to Buster Keaton, it features his last professionally filmed performance before his passing in February 1966. Keaton revisits classic routines from his earlier career while introducing fresh gags. Among the standout moments is a clever homage to his 1918 film The Bell Boy, where he humorously mops the floor using only the tip of the mop, showcasing his timeless physical comedy and charm.
