The Lost World (2001) is a captivating adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tale, brought to life by the BBC. Bob Hoskins portrays a more affable version of Professor Challenger, diverging from the original bully-like persona. He is joined by a well-rounded cast, including James Fox as Challenger's anxious yet secretly daring competitor, Tom Ward as the mustachioed big game hunter confronting an Allosaurus with his elephant gun, and Matthew Rhys as an eager reporter determined to win back his unfaithful fiancée. Together, they embark on a thrilling expedition filled with danger and adventure.
