Kathirvelan carries a quiet flame for Cristina, though neither has ever spoken of it. When they hand over their IDs to serve as witnesses for a rowdy’s sister’s registered wedding, a clerical mix-up seals their names on a marriage certificate meant for the couple. Suddenly, they are legally husband and wife. But Cristina is already promised to a stranger, and her wedding looms. Kathir, refusing to let her go without a fight, throws himself into the chaos to win her back.
