Elliot moves in with her ex’s new girlfriend while taking part in a medical trial for a sudden, unexplained hearing loss. As she renegotiates her place in a world of sound—and silence—a quiet intimacy grows between the two women. Anchored by Victoria Pedretti and Maya Hawke, this loose adaptation of Eliza Barry Callahan’s semi-autobiographical novel *The Hearing Test* gently captures the awkward ache of letting go and the unexpected warmth of moving forward.
