After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, 7,000 airline passengers find themselves unexpectedly stuck in Gander, Newfoundland, as all flights to the U.S. are halted. The community of Gander opens its arms, providing shelter and support to the stranded travelers. Captured in a live theatrical performance at New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theater, "Come from Away" beautifully illustrates the warmth of human connection and resilience in the face of adversity, showcasing the profound impact of kindness during a time of crisis.
