Returning to Jerusalem with her husband and young children after years away, filmmaker Danae Elon trades the distant, aerial perspective of news coverage for something far more personal: a street-level view of the city she once called home. Navigating daily life—school runs, playgrounds, and neighborhood strolls—she confronts the complex realities of a place defined by division. Her camera captures the intimate textures of a contested landscape, revealing how ordinary moments unfold amid extraordinary tension, and how home can feel both familiar and profoundly unsettled.
