Missionary Father LaForgue journeys to North America, eager to spread Catholicism among the Algonquin Indians. Initially met with cautious acceptance, he embarks on a challenging trek alongside the tribe. As he navigates the wilderness, LaForgue's rigid adherence to his faith clashes with the spiritual beliefs of the indigenous people, creating tension and conflict. Struggling to bridge cultural divides, he faces not only the harshness of the land but also the complexities of faith and acceptance, leading to profound questions about belief and understanding in a world vastly different from his own.
