Run If You Can

Run If You Can marks the directorial debut of Brüggemann, who co-wrote the poignant screenplay with his sister. Ben, confined to a wheelchair, struggles with despair, masking his feelings with humor. His life takes a turn when Christian, his new aide, encounters Annika, the talented cellist Ben has admired from afar. As their friendship deepens, the dynamics shift, leading to a complex emotional triangle. While Christian pursues Annika casually, Ben's profound feelings force him to confront buried fears and memories. The film's emotional weight is heightened by Robert Gwisdek's remarkable portrayal of Ben, making it a compelling character study.
