The 1960s sparked a transformative environmental movement, shaping the careers of young scientists such as E.O. Wilson, Cal DeWitt, and Theo Colborn, many of whom hailed from America’s predominant evangelical community. Today, scientists like Katharine Hayhoe, Ben Lowe, and Corina Newsome represent a new wave of evangelical environmentalists. They face the challenge of reinvigorating both the evangelical faith and environmental advocacy in a modern context. Their quest raises the question: can these passionate individuals bridge the divide between spirituality and ecological responsibility, fostering a meaningful dialogue for future generations?
