Carolina Rambaldi feels discontented with her three children: Marcello, a slacker with no ambition; Lucrezia, an overbearing TV producer; and Cesare, a spiteful sociologist grappling with his sexuality. Seeking to motivate them, she drafts her will, stipulating that her estate will go to the one child who has married and had a baby in the last eighteen months. This unconventional inheritance challenge forces her children to confront their shortcomings and ambitions, igniting a competitive and transformative family dynamic as they vie for Carolina’s affection and legacy.
