Exotic flavors intertwine with social activism in Breaking Bread. Dr. Nof Atamna-Ismaeel, the first Muslim Arab winner of Israel's MasterChef, aims to foster unity through culinary experiences. She establishes the A-sham Arabic Food Festival in Haifa, where Arab and Jewish chefs team up to create delectable dishes such as kishek, a Syrian yogurt soup, and qatayef, a traditional Ramadan dessert. Through these collaborations, the festival serves not only delightful cuisine but also a message of hope, transcending political and religious divides while celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the region.
