Joan Bennett stars as Nan Sheffield, the daughter of a college president, in this charming 1930 tale. Tommy Nelson, a talented football player and the rebellious son of a wealthy alumnus, faces rejection from the college due to his tarnished reputation. When his father cuts off financial support, Tommy, desperate to win Nan's affection, enrolls under a false name. Transforming his reckless lifestyle, he strives to lead the football team to success. Joe E. Brown shines as Speed Hanson, a quirky star who famously yells "Yeeeeowww" every time he scores, marking the debut of his iconic catchphrase.
