In the decaying town of Oldburgh, Ned fights a losing battle to preserve the grime and rot that define his home. While others see filth and decay, he sees a fragile ecosystem of memory and belonging. His desperate schemes to ward off cleanliness and renewal become increasingly unhinged, pitting him against neighbors who long for change. Through stubborn, tragicomic efforts, Ned clings to the only world he’s ever known—even as it crumbles around him.
