Set at Yale University in 1961, Stanley Milgram conducts a groundbreaking psychology experiment that probes the limits of human obedience. Participants believe they are inflicting severe electric shocks on a pleasant stranger in another room, who pleads for mercy but cannot escape. Surprisingly, most continue to administer shocks, demonstrating a disturbing willingness to follow orders. Against the backdrop of Adolf Eichmann's trial, Milgram’s work ignites debate in both popular culture and academia. While hailed as a pioneer, he faces backlash as a manipulative figure, yet his steadfast wife Sasha remains his unwavering support.
