"Parade" captures the vibrant spirit of the inaugural Gay Pride March in San Francisco, which took place in 1971, a year following the pivotal Stonewall Riots. This brief yet powerful documentary showcases the courage and unity of the LGBTQ+ community during a formative moment in history. After being lost for five decades, the film was rediscovered and lovingly restored by SF Art & Film, allowing new audiences to witness and celebrate the resilience and pride that characterized this landmark event.
