Familiar to many as the Monkey King's slothful sidekick, Pigsy Bajie has a storied past that predates “Journey to the West.” Once known as legendary General Tianpeng, or Marshal Tumbleweed, he was a figure of honor in the celestial realm and a revered hero on Earth, capable of vanquishing demons.
