Orfeu and Eurydice, two passionate young lovers, navigate the vibrant favelas of Rio de Janeiro amid the electrifying Carnaval celebrations. Their romance is shadowed by a relentless hitman resembling Death and Orfeu's scorned fiancée, Mira, as they oscillate between dreams and the harshness of reality. This artistic reimagining of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice not only captivates with its rich visuals but also introduced the world to bossa nova, thanks to the enchanting score by emerging Brazilian talents Luiz Bonfá and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
