Raised in isolation on a traditional homestead in the Appalachian Mountains, a naive teenage boy's life is upended by an unexpected tragedy, thrusting him into the fast-paced, technology-driven modern world. Alone and disoriented, he encounters a troubled family who takes him in. As he navigates this new environment, both he and his hosts confront personal challenges that deepen their understanding of faith and resilience. The experience ultimately reshapes their identities, emphasizing the transformative power of adversity and self-discovery, echoing the sentiment of James 1:2-4 about testing one’s faith.
