Even the Crows: A Divided Gujarat

Set against the backdrop of Narendra Modi's rise as a controversial candidate for India's Prime Minister, Even the Crows delves into the deep religious divides in Gujarat fueled by his Hindu nationalist policies. Following the devastating anti-Muslim riots of 2002, the Muslim community finds itself marginalized and seeking justice. The documentary intimately chronicles the experiences of Nishrin, whose father, a prominent Muslim politician, was murdered during the violence, and Imran, the sole survivor of an attack on his family. Through their stories, the film examines Modi’s alleged complicity and the continued fight for justice by the victims.
