Ivan Cohen, a teenager in Palo Alto, California, grapples with feelings of isolation. Surrounded by a lackluster group of friends and burdened by a dysfunctional home life, he yearns for connection, particularly with a girl who remains oblivious to his affections. As he navigates the complexities of adolescence, Ivan seeks to carve out his identity in a world that feels increasingly indifferent. Drawing inspiration from James Franco's collection of short stories, the narrative captures the poignant struggles of youth and the quest for belonging.
