The Old Mill

Set against the backdrop of a raging storm, this Oscar-winning short captures the intense atmosphere of an old mill. Inside, a variety of inhabitants—birds, timid mice, owls, and other creatures—huddle together, anxiously seeking refuge from the deluge. As the thunder rumbles and rain pelts down, the mill wheel starts to churn ominously, putting the structure’s integrity at risk. Just when it seems the mill might collapse, the tempest finally calms, offering a moment of respite for its frightened residents. The film beautifully illustrates the struggle for safety amid nature's fury.
