The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2002)

Every century, Morgana, a malevolent sorceress, seeks Fingall's talisman from Merlin to wreak havoc on the world. For 1,400 years, she has failed, but now she's determined to succeed. Young Ben Clark moves to a new town and befriends his elderly neighbor, Milner, who is actually Merlin in disguise. With a natural affinity for magic and a scar mirroring that of the ancient staff-bearer, Ben finds himself at the center of a monumental battle between good and evil. He must embrace his own powers and make crucial choices that will shape the fate of humanity.
