Esmeralda (Marcela Mar) is driven by a single, burning need: to expose the forces that shattered her family. Her search pulls her into the dark heart of La Alameda, a small Colombian mining town, where she finds an unlikely ally in Joaquín (Juan Pablo Urrego), a farmer intimately familiar with the region's hidden perils. Following the faint trail left by her late husband, a high-ranking executive at a multinational mining corporation, they uncover a ruthless conspiracy. Beneath the surface lies a violent struggle for gold and dominance, ensnaring Esmeralda in a web of deceit where each revelation brings her closer to the truth—and to her own grave.
