Fat Chance

Rick Zakowich candidly shares his lifelong battle with weight and body image in this thought-provoking documentary. By day, he works as a child therapist, and by night, he captivates audiences as a blues singer. Despite his undeniable charisma and talent, Rick often finds himself confined by societal labels. The film delves into the harsh realities of appearance-based oppression and fat-shaming, highlighting how society marginalizes those who don't conform to unrealistic beauty standards. Rather than focusing solely on weight loss, Rick embarks on a journey of self-discovery, forming meaningful friendships and ultimately embracing his self-worth.
