Penny Chenery, a devoted housewife and mother, steps into the world of horse racing when she takes over her father’s struggling Meadow Stables in Virginia. Lacking expertise in the field, she perseveres with the guidance of seasoned trainer Lucien Laurin. Defying the challenges of a male-dominated industry, Chenery’s determination and passion lead to an extraordinary achievement: the rise of Secretariat, who becomes the first horse in 25 years to capture the coveted Triple Crown. Her journey is a testament to resilience and breaking barriers in pursuit of a dream.
