Pei Yu Yen's life is meticulously structured, shaped by her father's academic expectations. Despite her exemplary behavior and studious nature, she feels confined, like a canary in a cage. Everything changes when she crosses paths with Yu Hao, a rebellious youth embroiled in street fights. His bold gestures, from thanking her in class to chasing down a bus to deliver a love letter, ignite a spark between them. Though their worlds seem miles apart, Yu Hao is determined to bridge that gap, driven by a desire to see Pei's smile and experience a life beyond her sheltered existence.
