Amidst the tumult of Sudetenland from 1937 to 1945, a small village becomes the backdrop for a gripping tale of loyalty and betrayal. "Habermann" draws inspiration from real-life events, centering on the titular character, a German miller who finds himself caught between the pressures of wartime nationalism and personal ethics. As tensions rise and allegiances shift, Habermann navigates the complexities of love, survival, and the moral dilemmas posed by an increasingly hostile environment. The film poignantly explores themes of identity and the human spirit during one of history’s darkest periods.
