Nestled near Rio de Janeiro’s bustling streets lies a community where traditional crafts like canoe carving and clay housebuilding thrive. "No Kings" captures the essence of this vibrant society, where nature reigns supreme and modern civilization feels like a distant memory. The film immerses viewers in the rich experiences of the Caiçara people, who preserve the remnants of the Atlantic rainforest while honoring a blend of sustainable traditions from Brazil and beyond. However, the impending threat of Brazil’s new government looms, jeopardizing both the rainforest and the rights of its marginalized communities.
