Young Thugs: Nostalgia

Takashi Miike’s personal favorite, Nostalgia explores the chaotic life of a young boy navigating the complexities of family and school. This film juxtaposes violence and dysfunction with humor and affection, showcasing the duality of childhood. While it features Miike's signature shocking brutality, the narrative primarily focuses on the boy's transition from his imaginative inner world to the realities of growing up. Rich in emotion and surprises, Nostalgia offers a poignant and distinctive perspective that highlights the director's unique storytelling style.
