Captain S. Melly steps into his role as the Commanding Officer at an experimental mixed-gender air defense base during the tumultuous year of 1940. While England faces relentless aerial attacks, the staff's focus appears more on romantic entanglements than the enemy threats looming overhead. Determined to instill discipline and prioritize their mission, Captain Melly finds himself the target of a spirited campaign against his attempts to enforce order, as the crew rallies around their more personal interests instead of the impending danger.
