Kelli returns home after her military deployment, only to confront the challenges of reintegration into her family and the familiar yet transformed rust-belt town. Her attempts to reconnect are met with emotional turmoil as she grapples with the stark contrast between her wartime experiences and the mundane reality of civilian life. As she navigates her new normal, Kelli must reconcile her past and present, seeking to reclaim her identity in a world that feels increasingly foreign.
